Smooth Wrinkles & Fine Lines With Botox Injection

What Is Botox?

BOTOX® Injections contain tiny amounts of a highly purified botulinum toxin protein refined from the bacterium, Clostridium botulinum.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the strain of the botulinum toxin products which is used for the treatment of wrinkles. When a wrinkle develops it is often because the muscle has become tight and malformed due to repeated facial expressions. Botulinum toxin effects these muscles and puts them in a state of paralysis, smoothing out the skin in the wrinkles.

When BOTOX® injections are injected into the muscles that cause frown lines, it temporarily reduces the activity of those muscles. The result is a reduction in the appearance of those lines.

BOTOX® injection targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows after Botox injections.
